Physical Education

2/3/2022 - We have had a blast these past couple of months re-exploring some sports skills we weren't able to access as thoroughly during the previous year. The students have been working super hard to improve their throwing and catching skills, basketball skills, and took some time to discuss fitness and our body's health. We also took some time to enjoy holiday games with those skills.

Below are some photos of the amazing gym snowmen we created using random Phys Ed equipment. Kids would run, skip, hop, "ice skate", or scoot down on their "sleds" to grab parts for their snowmen. They would work as a team to build the snowmen and then got to describe their snowmen to their friends. We loved seeing the creativity!

Yoga skills were also a unit we revisited. Last year students blew us away with their amazing yogi skills, and this year they got even better at keeping up with some yoga flow.

January's Fitness for Kids goal was to make a better YOU! Setting goals and thinking about how we treat others so that we can keep a positive attitude.

February's goal is to get 5 servings of fruits and vegetables! In our extra nutrition class the next month we are taste testing different fruits and learning about how a variety of them give us different vitamins and minerals! Set a family goal to get those 5 Fruits and Vegetables in!
