My Teaching Philosophy

I believe in the words of art advocate and artist, Fred Babb.
“The art is inside you, let it out!”
I believe every student can create art.
I believe every student can learn.
However, my definition of art is more than just lines, shapes and colors.
Art is life.
Art is emotion.
Art is voice.
Art is confidence.
I believe it is my job not to teach art, but to teach students.
It is my job to help students see and express that the art, the life, the emotion is within them and they possess the voice and the confidence to let it out.
