Although we all live in different countries we share some common cultural traits. This common past goes back over many centuries and reminds us of is existence through archaeological ruins, historical suburbs, natural protected areas but also in our day to day lives through our built environment. In this project we wanted to teach our students the importance of Heritage by listening to the stories that the stones from our heritage can tell us, by understanding what they have heard and seen, by exploring those areas of our natural environment that have given a significant contribution to our traditions and cultures.
We strongly believe that knowing the past is the first step to build a better future. This is a transnational need that we think students can best appreciate in a transnational context.
The project started in September 2018 and has been completed in August 2021.
The key objectives related to our project can be summarised as follows:
Knowing key historical facts that have affected our territory
Knowing and recognising Heritage in a natural as well as built environment
Knowing issues relating the protection of our cultural Heritage and how this can be improved
Knowing issues relating the protection of our environment and how this can be improved
Recognising the value of our traditions
Being able to use a variety of means of communication to exchange information and work
Improve the use and the communication in a foreign language and also in the mother tounge
