A Winning Program Since 1971

We're Celebrating 49 Years!

For almost 50 years, Central Western Section has presented Science Exploration Days, an event where the community and science students are exposed to relevant, interesting, and up-to-date science and technology topics. Area leaders representing industry, research, education, and professional organizations share their expertise in a seminar format or hands-on exhibits. Students from middle and high schools throughout the six-county CWS membership area participate in the day time program while families visit the exhibits in the evening. Speakers and exhibitors return each year to share the fascinating world of science with eager youngsters. Their participation makes this event a noteworthy one in our community.

St. John Fisher College has been host to SED since its inception. The campus is a perfect venue for this event and the continuing support by the administration is greatly appreciated. Their collaboration makes this educational opportunity for the community possible.

The committee overseeing the organization of Science Exploration Days is composed of science teachers and community leaders committed to the continuing excellence of the program. Their efforts ensure your students will continue to have an annual science enrichment opportunity. As we approach 2021, our 50th year, committee member retirements are imminent after decades of service. Please consider volunteering to make sure this event continues for many more years!
