New! October newsletters are now available in the Supporting Your Child At Home tab!
Right now our team is assessing the needs of our students in reading and math. We will use this information to determine the skills our students have in place, and those they need to continue developing. Our team is also being trained on best practices and research to help us provide the best instruction for our students. We are working with teachers to determine the students who will qualify for additional support from our Title I & LAP reading support program.
Once we have determined which students need additional support, and what skills we need to focus on to support our students in reading, a letter will go out to families informing them of their child's eligibility to participate in Twin City's Title I/LAP program. Parents have the right to refuse services for their child. If your child qualifies for this additional support, and you do not want them to participate, please contact the Title I/LAP Coordinator, Katrina Pickrell at Twin City Elementary.
