Welcome to Stanwood Spartan Track and Field! I hope your years in Track and Field are enjoyable and full of memories and accomplished goals! Being a part of Stanwood Spartan Track and Field is a privilege and a worthwhile endeavor that will create lifelong lessons for each athlete to take into their future. Our team is a place for athletes of all backgrounds and ability levels. Track and Field is a special sport where athletes have the opportunity to compete against others and themselves. Every Spartan athlete will get a chance to improve and set personal records each time they race, jump, vault, or throw. Track and Field is largely a mental sport where ATTITUDE defines success. Our goals as a program fit into three pursuits:
We strive to develop hard-working athletes who will contend for league, district, and state honors.
We develop people. Each athlete and coach will uphold the Spartan athletic values of respect, dedication, integrity, sportsmanship, and accountability.
We will generate excitement and interest in Track and Field in our school and community through our performance, conduct, and outreach.
In line with these pursuits, every athlete in our program is expected to be at practice every day and will complete his/her workout in order to compete in the next meet.
If an athlete will be tardy or absent from practice they must fill our our practice tardy/absent form.
If an athlete is sick, injured, or suspects and injury they must fill our a recovering athlete form here.

What does it mean to be a Spartan? On our Spartan Track & Field team, being a Spartan means we compete for ALL Spartans! When we run, jump, and throw, we compete for the Spartan legacy. We compete for every Spartan who has competed before us, each of our current teammates, and all future Spartans who will compete on our team. We recognize the efforts and sacrifices of every Spartan from our past, present, and future as we leave everything we have on the track, in the ring, and on the pit.
We need help at our home meets this year! If you are interested and able, please fill out this volunteer form:
