Library Closures: TESTING
Library Closures: TESTING
May schedule in the SHS Library: The month of May there will be testing going on in the SHS Library. The library will be closed on testing days and/or during testing hours. Running start & independent students will need to work in the counseling office during that time. The library will be closed for book checkout. We will have a book drop off area near the front office for book returns! Library hours during May:
Week of May 1-5: Closed all day for AP testing
Week of May 8-12: Closed all day for AP testing
Mon/Tue May 15-16: Library OPEN
Wed May 17: Library CLOSED 12 noon - 4pm
Thu May 18: Library CLOSED ALL DAY
Fri May 19: Library OPEN
Week of May 22-26: Library closed in the afternoons for SBA testing (exact times to be announced) Open Wednesday May 24th.
Monday May 29: Memorial Day - no school
May 30: Library closed for SBA testing
May 31 - June 2: Library open
In the library circulation system, not reading is considered especially heinous. At SHS, the dedicated person who works to combat this crime is a member of an elite single-person squad known as the librarian. These are her (favorite) stories.

May is the month for a special focus on the short story: why we love it and why everyone should be reading them. April has had poetry (since 1996), so in 2010 we declared May the month of the Short Story.
