Our conference is an opportunity for you to connect and collaborate within our Community of Learners.
The theme for 2021 is Whakarongo mai mātou | We are listening.
This will be explored through a range of innovative workshops
presented by teachers and community members from across the Kāhui Ako.
Speakers will share effective educational practice, including classroom examples that teachers will
be able to build into their own programmes.
Workshops will align to conference aims and there will also be an opportunity for you to share
your reflections with others.
The conference aims are to:
Share with all Kāhui Ako staff our three key focus areas from the Me and My School survey: Relevance, Relationships and Role Models
Develop collaborative initiatives and processes within our Kāhui Ako that reflect our response to student and community voice
Develop a consistent understanding of the impact that improved wellbeing has on learning outcomes
Teachers apply their new learnings to their educational practice
This framework was developed in consultation with teachers across the Kāhui Ako in 2017. It shows the areas we need to and will focus on as a Kāhui Ako in order to improve student outcomes in their Year 0-18 journey.
