"As a genetic counseling program director, I feel personally responsible for moving the needle on DEI issues in recruiting and training the next generation of genetic counselors. I am immensely grateful for the creative and innovative ideas generated by our students and alumni through their DEI AOC efforts. I am also a member of the Stanford School of Medicine Faculty Senate Diversity Sub-Committee and the AGCPD Diversity Equity and Inclusion Task Force. In addition, I have given local, regional, and national presentations on the topic of Implicit Bias: What it means for diversity in genetic counseling admissions."
