"As a current genetic counseling trainee, I hope to continually challenge myself and others to learn from the backgrounds and experiences of the diverse array of patients we serve, and to acknowledge and overcome my own assumptions and biases. I am also motivated to have critical conversations about the ways in which genetic counselors can actively work to both promote access to and provide more equitable and inclusive genetics services."
