"I became a part of the DEI Action and Outreach Committee after gaining awareness of the biases that exist in the history, science, and logistics of genetic healthcare practices. This is what has guided my desire to promote awareness of and find ways to combat the healthcare disparities that under-resourced populations experience in genetic counseling.
