The BOSYN comprises of the CHOMPCON (left) and SWYMCON (right). The entire enclosure was laser cut out of duron, and then spray painted with a black base and silver shimmer. The base and side walls were aligned placed together using the tabs and then hot glued together. The top lid acts as a separate body, fastened to the bottom body with three custom 3D printed L-brackets.
The Chomp and (optional) fun functionality could be activated by a user by removing the straw from the holder (left), and then pressing down through the lid, activating a limit switch. The bottom 3 LEDs indicate sucessful activation (red), chomp in progress (rainbow), and cooldown (pink).
The bridge connecting the CHOMPCON and SWYMCON also housed 3D-printed little matcha bubble TEAmmates, with embossed names.
A power switch connected to the power distribution board was used to activate the BOSYN, immediately starting the pairing process. To unpair with the current BOAT, or re-sample the BOAT-selection dial for team selection, the yellow button was used. Icons representing each team's theme were printed as dial ranges.
Custom 6" diameter bubble-themed handles were created for HW504 joysticks, to control thrust (left) and yaw (right)
Including a power bank clamp, servo mount and paired thai tea flag, and allocated space for the PIC-32 board, power distribution board, and a breadboard
A shiny black exterior with a bubble tea straw holder, LED, button, switch and potentiometer mounding holes, and custom joystick bubble handles
