Our lab pursues long-term, fundamental research into how the human genome is organized and regulated. This work depends on federal science agencies, philanthropic foundations, and individual donors like you. In return, we strive to make discoveries that deepen our understanding of the genome and to give the next generation of scientists world-class training. 

Support from individual donors gives our lab a kind of stability that project-specific grants cannot: the freedom to pursue promising but unproven ideas, to bridge gaps between funding cycles, and to invest in people over the long term.
