Please note that if you are not a resident of the U.S. (regardless of citizenship), our included insurance coverage may differ based on your country of residence. Please contact your program manager who will work with our insurance carrier to determine which benefits do apply so that you may consider purchasing additional coverage.

This plan must be purchased within 14 days of receipt of your welcome email to include coverage for any time sensitive benefits, including the waiver of the pre-existing condition exclusion.

This is a retail product that can be purchased with an option to add a Cancel for Any Reason benefit.

Stanford's protection plan is with Travel Insured; if you wish to purchase additional travel protection from another company you may do so.

Flight Itinerary - Forward a complete copy of the flight itinerary you receive from your airline or travel agent to Laura Slaughter at lduede@stanford.edu. If you are arriving early or departing late, please include any requests for additional services, such as hotel nights or airport transfers, in your email or indicate if you have made your own arrangements.
Final payment is due by September 12. After that date, refunds can be made only if the trip is full and your space can be resold, in which case a $1,000 per-person cancellation fee will apply. Prior to the final payment deadline, a $500 per-person cancellation fee applies.
The easiest and most secure way to make a payment is to pay online at alu.ms/travelpayment. Note you will need the reservation number listed on your invoice.
