As president of Bay Valley Tech, Phillip Lan oversees the organization's fast-growing free code academy and tech hub, which supports entrepreneurs with flexible office space, digital marketing services and software talent. He is a key driver in Bay Valley Tech's community and workforce development initiatives, including Tech Connect, Valley Hackathon, Women Techmakers, Valley AgTech, as well as numerous software developer meetups and K-12 coding programs. Prior to Bay Valley Tech, Phillip led the digital marketing team at E&J Gallo, the world’s largest winery, and held marketing, business development and leadership roles at IBM, Robert Half Technology and Ask.com. He has a bachelor’s degree in managerial economics from U.C. Davis and an MBA in computer information systems from California State University-East Bay.
