If you are a fan of extensions and you are using Google Classroom fairly often with your students, the Share to Classroom Chrome extension might make your workflow a bit easier. If you need to post an assignment, announcement, question, or just needing to push a digital resource to your class, Share to Classroom can do that without having to actually sign into Google Classroom. Click on the image below to install the extension to your Chrome browser.
Share to Classroom basically acts as a tool to ping your students when in the classroom so they can get to a resource without having to type in a website address. For example, if you need your 2nd graders to get to Kahoot! and you don't want to necessarily wait for them to type kahoot.com into the URL, you can simply push the site to your class and as long as they have the extension installed to their Chrome browser and are signed into a device, they will receive a notification pop-up prompting them to click on the notification to take them to Kahoot!
The only trick to pushing a digital resource to your students using this extension is your students need to be paying attention after you click "Push" because the notification pop-up window will only stay on the students' devices for approximately 30 seconds.
An alternative might be to just post the resource as an announcement to your Google Classroom to where students can get to the link at any time within Classroom.
Alternatively, students can also use the Share to Classroom extension to push out resource to the teacher or other peers. This could be helpful if you want students to share out a specific resource to present on using the teacher station.
