Dear Rippowam families,

Our Rippowam educators are back in the building getting the school ready to welcome your child(ren) on Wednesday, August  27th.  Please review the important information below and in the linked documents. Most questions - including school hours and parent pick up/drop off -  can be answered in the Rippowam Student/Family Handbook.

Also check out the SPS Family Guide for additional information (linked below).  Our office is open 7:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. at (203) 977-4410 for additional support.

Key Dates

• Friday, Aug 22 – Bus assignments available on PowerSchool.

• Tuesday, Aug 26 (7:30–9:30 a.m.) – 6th Grade Orientation (students only, buses provided).

• Wednesday, Aug 27 – First day of school for all students.

6th Grade Orientation is Tuesday, August 26 from 7:30–9:30 a.m. for students only. Parents may not attend. Students should report directly to the Auditorium (by bus, walking, or drop-off). Staff will be at entrances to help students navigate the building.

Buses will run for orientation. Bus assignments were posted in the Parent Portal on Friday, August 22.

Technology Reminder - Please make sure the required forms are filled out! - Responsible Use Agreement and SPS Technology Device Agreement Forms
When you log into the Parent Portal you will find a navigation menu on the left side of the screen.  Within this menu is a link to Forms.  All forms included in the section must be filled out and submitted for your child to receive a Chromebook.  If you need help,  contact our Parent Facilitator - Claudia Vettorazzi - at 203-977-4229/ cvettorazzi@stamfordct.gov.

Health Requirements
Students must be up-to-date on physicals and immunizations to attend school. Contact Nurse Edyta Zalewska at 203-977-4338 or ezalewska@stamfordct.gov with questions.

All-School Musical Auditions
Student auditions for the All-School Musical's Production of “Annie” for students in grades 5-12  are coming as soon as school starts!  Click HERE for more information or to sign up for an audition time.

Rippowam Supply Starter Kit:
Not quite ready for summer to end? Not ready to get all your classroom supplies? Help raise funds for the 7th grade by purchasing a Starter Kit for $10. This kit will include everything your student will need for the first few days of school, and can continue to be used throughout the year. Click on this google link to order yours today!

Pick up starts Monday, August 25th in the main office or delivered to your student on the first day of school. Please bring $10 cash at pick up.

Open School Night is Tuesday, September 16th from 5:30-7:30

No school on Monday, September 2nd for Labor Day
