Supply lists and important information
Outstanding Physicals/Immunizations
You will receive a letter or phone call from our school nurse this summer indicating that your child has an outstanding physical assessment and/or immunizations, those must be completed prior to returning to school or your child will be excluded until they are in compliance. If you have any questions, you can contact our school nurse - Edyta Zalewska - at 203-977-4338 or ezalewska@stamfordct.gov by email.
PowerSchool Parent Portal
It is critically important that all families are active on the Parent Portal as this platform holds important information including bus info, student schedules, grades, assignments, attendance, mandatory forms and more. For families that are newly registered at Ripp, Carla Pinto will create your Parent Portal account and login information. If you recently registered, you can contact her at 203-977-4883 or cpinto@stamfordct.gov. If you are not a new registrant of Rippowam and need assistance in accessing your account, please reach out to Claudia Vettorazzi, our Parent Facilitator, at 203-977-4229 or cvettorazzi@stamfordct.gov
Acceptable Use Policy and Parental Consent to Use of Online Educational Services (AUP) Agreement and SPS Technology Device Agreement Forms
When you log into the Parent Portal you will find a navigation menu on the left side of the screen. Within this menu is a link to Forms. All forms included in the section must be filled out and submitted, however, the two most important forms are the AUP and the SPS Technology Device Agreement forms. Without the AUP a student will lose access to our digital tools and resources including the Google Apps Suite and Internet access. Additionally, students in need of borrowing a device, will not be permitted to use an SPS Chromebook without submission of this form. The Device Agreement form is equally important because this lets us know if your child will need to borrow a device or if they will be using their own. If you need further assistance with accessing, completing or submitting these forms, you can contact our Parent Facilitator - Claudia Vettorazzi - at 203-977-4229 by phone or cvettorazzi@stamfordct.gov by email.
6th Grade Student Orientation is Tuesday, August 27th
For all 6th grade students, we will be hosting an in-person orientation on Tuesday, August 27th from 7:30 am until 9:30 am. Orientation will be for students only - parents will not be permitted to attend. Students will report directly to the Auditorium when they arrive (either from the bus, walking or parent/guardian drop off). We will have staff available at the entrances to assist all students with navigating the building.
Buses will be operating for 6th grade orientation if your child will be a bus rider. Bus information will be uploaded to the Parent Portal on Thursday, August 22nd.
Best,
Kristina Colmenares
Principal, Rippowam Middle School
