Dear Rippowam families,

We’ve made it—it's the final week of the school year! As we head into these last few days, we want to take a moment to celebrate the exciting week we just had. All three grade levels enjoyed their end-of-year field trips, and the smiles and laughter said it all.

Our 6th graders had a blast at the Italian Center, 7th graders adventured to the Westport/Weston YMCA, and 8th graders closed out their middle school years with a day of fun at Holiday Hill. A big thank you to all the teachers who helped plan and chaperone these trips, and to our incredible PTO for their continued support in making these experiences possible.

This coming week we will celebrate students with an end of year award ceremony on Wednesday followed by our Raptor Color Dash.  See more information below!

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are early release days for students.
Students will be dismissed at 11:45 on these days.  There is no after school programming and Friday is the last day of school.

Rippowam Raptor Color Dash is June 11th
On Wednesday, June 11th, the first of our 2 early release days to close out the year, we will have our Raptor Color Dash - a chance for students to be outside, celebrate the year, raise money for next year and get covered in colorful powder.   There will also be additional color packets available for sale as well as snacks and ice cream for sale - cash only! Chromebook Collection continues this week
Students are turning in their laptops to Mr. Orsino.  We expect some wear and tear on the device, but excessive damage may result in paying for repair or replacement.  Also, students need to return their Chromebook Charger (both parts!). Students will be charged $40 for a lost/missing/incomplete charger. 6th and 7th Grade students who do not return a charger (or payment) may experience a delay in receiving their school issued Chromebook in the fall of 2025.  8th Grade Students who do not return their charger (or payment) will not receive graduation tickets.

Rippowam 8th Grade Ceremony Information:
8th grade moving up ceremony is Friday, June 13th at 9am.  Each student receives 2 tickets.  We will have a waitlist for additional guests who are present and will be seated if there are additional seats available.  We have a large graduating class and limited space in the auditorium.  We are also planning on live-streaming the ceremony as well.   Doors will open at 8:45 on Friday.  We will send out the link to all on Thursday. 

Staffing Changes:
Every new school year brings new staff members.  I will send updates introducing our new staff members as we get closer to the start of the school year.
