Dear Rippowam families,
Stay warm this weekend! It is finally feeling like winter. Thank you to the parents who came in during lunch waves to sell Valentine's Day items to our students as a fundraiser! We appreciate the time and effort you put into volunteering and would love to see more parents in the building. There are more opportunities to come in next week…see below for more information.
PowerSchool Grades are visible in ParentPortal
Finalized grades will be available in the Parent Portal of PowerSchool on Friday, February 3rd.
Carnation and Valentine’s Day Sales
Students can give their friends flowers or even your favorite teacher/staff member for Valentine’s Day! Parents, you can send a flower to your child! Between now and Feb 10th, you can purchase flowers for $1 each!!! Bring cash to the main office or venmo @RIPPOWAMPTO (fill out the google form for easy processing) Parent volunteers will also help sell flowers during the lunch waves! see sign up genius for details
Basketball Playoff Championship is next week
Congratulations to the boys and girls team for an amazing season! Both teams will be participating in the playoff games next week. Good luck to all of the players!
Parent Pick Up/Drop Off reminder
We have noticed an increase in parents stopping in the middle lane of our Parent Pick Up/Drop Off area in front of the school. The left lane is parked cars and the right lane is the pick up lane. The middle lane is meant to be for parents to drive through after pick up/drop off is completed. Please do not drive up and stop in the middle lane to pick up or drop off your child. It causes frustration and unnecessary traffic for all involved. Thank you.
February Break Dates:
Friday, February 17th through Tuesday, February 21st is February break for students. Students return to school on Wednesday, February 22nd.
Covid Positive Cases for the week ending 1/3/2023: 4
We will continue to report confirmed positive cases for our school community on a weekly basis. Our school nurse has free Covid tests available for students.
Best,
Kristina Colmenares
