Henry Huynh from grade 1 in Bonnie's class received the Best Bee award at our last assembly.
He is an inquisitive and curious learner and an attentive listener. Henry is considerate of others and a gentle and kind presence that helps those around him feel calm. He is focused on all his learning tasks and completes them to a high standard. Henry is a great classroom helper who uses his advanced general knowledge of the world to teach others new things (including his teacher!) He moves safely around the school and always has a smile on his face. The giant round of applause that Henry received as he went up to collect his award showed just how much we all agree that he deserved it - Well done Henry!!
Our final best bee for Term 2 is Grace Maduwuihe from Britt's class.
Grace demonstrates all of the 4 Bs as often as possible.
She follows the school rules to move safely and looks out for others to make sure that they are ok. She is always ready to learn and tries her best at all times. Grace is self motivated and stays on task. She has an incredible smile that she uses every day. Grace demonstrates her care for others in many, many ways. She appreciates everything that she has and every moment of kindness that is shared with her as well.
Well done Grace!
Noah Tran from Sarah's class was awarded our best bee in the middle of Term 2.
Noah is kind and well mannered.
His is always happy to lend a hand and share a smile with others.
Noah has a great sense of humour and is always ready to learn.
You should be very proud of yourself Noah!
Congratulations to our Best Bee winner James Rudd.
James is a great learner who is self motivated. Even though he produces a high standard of work, he also always strives to improve his learning in all areas. He is a quiet achiever who is always willing and happy to help anyone who needs it. James is a good listener and encourager. He consistently keeps to the school rules and is receptive to feedback from his teachers and peers. He is a great friend who is dependable, generous and loyal and enjoys a laugh with friends. James is friendly, welcoming, well mannered and respectful of others.
James is a wonderful Best Bee and a true role model for the children at our school!
Congratulations to our Best Bee winner Olivia Lopez from Britt's class.
Olivia is a student that exhibits many qualities that we can all aspire to. She shows compassion and understanding towards her peers, is supportive of those she works with and is able to be a strong leader yet create space to allow others to shine and contribute. She is self-motivated, sets the benchmark for her learning that little bit higher each time and is receptive to feedback from her teachers and peers. Olivia displays confidence in class discussions when presenting her point of view yet is humble and considerate when listening to the opinions of others.
Olivia is a very worthy Best Bee winner!
Our latest Best Bee is Sophie Bugeja from Patrick's class.
Sophie in 1/2P, was an easy choice because she displays the Best Bee behaviours all the time. Sophie loves to learn and she works hard at her learning producing some excellent efforts. She always offers to help classmates and teachers and she is funny and friendly to be around, she makes other students feel good about themselves. Sophie cares about other people and makes sure that everyone feels safe and well looked after. Everyday Sophie lives out the St Theresa’s motto, ‘Do small things well” except that she does ALL things well.
We’re very proud of you Sophie!
Our second Best Bee of the year is Arnav Pawar, a fabulous Grade 6 from Frank’s grade.
Arnav has many admirable traits. He always comes to class with a smile on his face and a willingness to learn and improve.
He is a great listener who is sensitive to the thoughts and opinions of others, which helps him to be a supportive friend.
Arnav is kind and considerate and consistently shows respect for adults and children.
He is always ready and willing to lend a hand and collaborate and assist others in any way that he can.
Arnav is, without question, a role model for the younger children within the school.
He has a genuine ‘have a go’ attitude and impeccable manners.
Arnav, you are an all round great kid, and a very deserving Best Bee - Congratulations!
Our first Best Bee for 2023 is Kyra from 2/3L!
'Kyra is always attentive in class, enthusiastic towards her learning, listens well and constantly raises her hand to share her great ideas with the class. She thinks about what she is doing, she is kind to her teachers and her peers and always puts in her best effort with her work. She shows a positive growth mindset, accepts and acts on feedback and is just a shining example in the class.'
