A colleague shared this with me this week - it is another great book and fantastic resource to share with our families struggling with being in lock down and the challenges it creates having everyone at home in the same space for long periods of time.

Hi Everyone and hope you're all safe and well!
We are well into Stage 4 lockdown restrictions and unfortunately we are now all experts at Remote Learning (well I hope we are!) During times like these, creative people get very busy and so I have been able to collect a few fantastic resources that may help explain the world we live right now. Take a moment to listen to "Windows" which is a lovely story about staying home and then there is a more practical slide show which explains why everyone is wearing masks .

Here is a beautiful story to read as a family. It is produced by the Australian Childhood Foundation and it's called "Matilda & Theo: Looking after our Lost and Found Things in the time of Coronavirus". https://www.childhood.org.au/app/uploads/2020/04/MatildaTheoLR.pdf
5/5/20 : Week 4
Everyone has been home learning for 4 weeks now. and doing a great job. BUT...... we all want school to start again as soon as we can. Won't it be great when things get back to normal and we can spend time with our friends again? Here's another gorgeous story to share as a family and it's all about the importance of friendship and how friends caring about you can help you to stay happy. It's called "A Sick Day For Amos McGee". htps://watch.vooks.com/friendship/videos/a-sick-day-for-amos-mcgee

Hi again everyone and welcome to week 3 of home learning. I hope you are all well. Even though we are getting used to staying at home and most of you are coping well with this new way to learn, I think we are starting to miss our friends.......I know the teachers are missing seeing the children and their families. Hopefully the lockdown will be over soon but until then, here is a lovely story to listen to. It's called "Time To Come In Bear"

Hi Everyone and how are you going with home schooling????
We are now moving into week 2 of home learning and hopefully it is starting to smooth out....it certainly was an 'interesting' time for everyone last week. Our main message to our community is to stay calm and please don't be stressed about home learning. The staff are only an email away and can help with all problems. Also there are leadership members at school everyday so you can ring them too.
Dr Michael Carr-Gregg, a very well known child psychologist, has produced this short video that may help reduce any anxiety that your child might be feeling about COVID 19. Watch it together and have a chat about it at the end.

Also don't forget to enjoy the beautiful sunshine that we have this week....that always makes you feel good.
Stay safe and well,
Marie (Student Wellbeing Leader)
