This weekend we will celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. In honor of this great feast day, we will be having an outdoor Eucharistic Procession on Sunday, June 7th after the 10:30 a.m. Mass. The procession will begin in the church at the conclusion of Mass. We will process outside and walk around the St. Albert campus. Benediction in the church will conclude the procession. We encourage everyone to participate!
Processions are important because they remind us that we are pilgrims journeying through this earthly existence following Jesus on “the Way”. When we have a Eucharistic Procession, not only are we gazing upon our Eucharistic Lord, but we are walking with him. We experience what the disciples did 2000 years ago as they walked with Jesus, proclaiming the Good News to the world.
Friday, June 12th is the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. This celebration always occurs on the Friday after the Solemnity of the Most Holy
Body and Blood of Christ. The devotion to the Sacred Heart emphasizes the unmitigated love, compassion and long-suffering heart of Christ toward humanity.
In honor of this great day, we will be having music at the 8:30 a.m. Mass as well as Eucharistic Adoration immediately after Mass until 10:30 a.m.
This weekend, June 6-7 we will take up a collection for our St. Albert the Great St. Vincent de Paul Conference. Donations may also be placed in the poor box or made online on Vanco. Your generous support makes a direct and meaningful difference, as 100% of donations go straight to helping individuals and families in need and allow us to continue this vital ministry of compassion and hope. Please make checks to St. Albert the Great SVDP Conference. Thank you!
If you would like to offer up in prayer an intention at the Father’s Day Masses this year, envelopes are due by Sunday, June 14th.
Brewed in God's Image: Exploring Magnifica Humanitas
Tuesday, June 23rd | 6:30PM |
Parish Life Center
Join us for a Theology on Tap as we explore Pope Leo XIV's new encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas ("The Greatness of Humanity").
In an age of artificial intelligence, rapid technological change, and growing questions about what makes us uniquely human, the Holy Father invites us to reflect on the God-given dignity of every person.
What does it mean to be made in God's image? How should Christians approach AI and emerging technologies? What does the Gospel teach about human worth, purpose, relationships, and our call to greatness in Christ? Over a drink and good conversation, we'll explore Scripture, Catholic teaching, and the challenges of living faithfully in an ever changing world.
Whether you're fascinated by technology, curious about the Church's newest teaching, or simply looking for a meaningful discussion, come pull up a chair and join the conversation. All are welcome!
This event will be led by Flynn Mudd, Director of Formation and Evangelization. Beverages and snacks will be provided.
