Please join us in welcoming Christine Kleinholter as our new Office Administrative Assistant. Christine will be one of the first friendly faces you see when you visit the parish office and the voice you hear when you call. In addition to greeting parishioners, she will provide administrative support to our pastor and office staff and will coordinate facility scheduling for parish events and meetings.
Christine shares, "I am excited to work with such a great staff and serve the incredible parishioners of St. Albert the Great. I grew up in Louisville and am a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, traveling, and working in the yard. I look forward to meeting you and wish you a safe and relaxing summer!"
As a reminder, anyone wishing to reserve a room or parish facility should complete a Facility Request Form. Submitting the form helps us ensure that spaces are available and properly scheduled.
We are grateful to have Christine on our team!
We are pleased to welcome Peter Before to St. Albert the Great for the summer. Peter is a seminarian for the Archdiocese and will be spending the next several weeks with our parish as part of his formation and preparation for the priesthood.
During his summer assignment, Peter will have the opportunity to learn about parish life and ministry by assisting with Masses, parish events, pastoral activities, and the many day-to-day aspects of serving a parish community. This hands-on experience is an important part of his seminary training.
Be sure to introduce yourself when you see him and keep him in your prayers as he continues his journey toward the priesthood.
The parish office will begin summer office hours on Monday, June 1st through Friday, August 7th. Hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm and Friday 8:00am-12:00pm. In addition, the parish office will be closed Friday, July 3rd & Monday, July 6th for the Independance Day holiday.

Friday, June 12th is the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. This celebration always occurs on the Friday after the Solemnity of the Most Holy
Body and Blood of Christ. The devotion to the Sacred Heart emphasizes the unmitigated love, compassion and long-suffering heart of Christ toward humanity.
In honor of this great day, we will be having music at the 8:30 a.m. Mass as well as Eucharistic Adoration immediately after Mass until 10:30 a.m.
If you would like to offer up in prayer an intention at the Father’s Day Masses this year, envelopes are due by Sunday, June 14th.
Our parish is truly blessed to have such compassionate and generous people. The Crusade for Children collection is always a success because of you. Our contribution this year was $9,104 — #1 of all Louisville area parishes! Since 1995, the Archdiocese of Louisville has contributed over 9.5 million dollars to the Crusade for Children. This community-wide effort changes the lives of children with special needs, and many families and schools in the Archdiocese have benefited directly from the Crusade. Thank you to all who participated in this worthy cause that directly impacts our local community. Let's try to be #1 again in 2027!
Exploring Magnifica Humanitas
Tuesday, June 23rd | 6:30PM |
Parish Life Center
Join us for a Theology on Tap as we explore Pope Leo XIV's new encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas ("The Greatness of Humanity").
In an age of artificial intelligence, rapid technological change, and growing questions about what makes us uniquely human, the Holy Father invites us to reflect on the God-given dignity of every person.
What does it mean to be made in God's image? How should Christians approach AI and emerging technologies? What does the Gospel teach about human worth, purpose, relationships, and our call to greatness in Christ? Over a drink and good conversation, we'll explore Scripture, Catholic teaching, and the challenges of living faithfully in an ever changing world.
Whether you're fascinated by technology, curious about the Church's newest teaching, or simply looking for a meaningful discussion, come pull up a chair and join the conversation. All are welcome!
This event will be led by Flynn Mudd, Director of Formation and Evangelization. Beverages and snacks will be provided.
June 25th | 10:00AM | SHC
The next meeting of the St. Albert Book Club book will be on Thursday, June 25th at 10:00am in the Sacred Heart Center. We will be reading Why the Jews?: The Reason for Antisemitism (An Examination of Antisemitism) by Dennis Prager and Joseph Telushkin.
Looking for a good book to add to your summer reading list? Consider joining us for this thought-provoking discussion. Just read the book and show up—new participants are always welcome!
Vacation Bible School is just around the corner, and we're looking to borrow pop-up canopies to help create our Egyptian Marketplace! If you have a canopy we may use during VBS, please drop it off in the back of church by noon on Monday, June 22. Be sure to label it with your name so it can be returned after VBS. Thank you for helping us bring the Bible to life for our children!
