Our mission is to provide a comprehensive developmental guidance program that ensures every student achieves the highest possible education and support in the areas of career, academic, and personal development through a partnership with students, family, school and community resources. We strive to afford all students with equity and access to resources that will enable them to achieve a measure of success in school and develop into contributing members of society.
This guidance curriculum is designed to integrate Career and Work Standards into grades 7-12. In middle and high school, students apply career readiness skills. They experience the world of work and come to value the standards and behaviors
that support success in the workplace. Students begin to understand the demands of a changing workplace and apply various skills involved in locating and using career-related resources.

School psychologists are qualified members of school teams that support students' ability to learn and teachers' ability to teach. They apply knowledge in mental health, learning, and behavior, to help children and youth succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. School psychologists partner with families, teachers, school administrators, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community.
Learning Support services are available to students who have been diagnosed with a specific learning disability and/or other health impairments and have an IEP. Accommodations and adaptations follow each IEP student throughout all of their classes. In order to be diagnosed for services, students must be tested by a school psychologist.
Learning Support classes that are instructed with a modified pace and curriculum do follow the regular education outline implemented here at RGHS. Learning Support classes are primarily English Language Arts and Math, 7-12th grades. All other academics will usually be in full inclusion basic level regular education, unless otherwise determined by the IEP team.
Responsible for the development and implementation of a post high school career, schooling, and independent living plan along with both the student and the IEP team. Communication with outside agencies, counseling facilities. schools, etc are extensively used while creating this continuously working plan. Also, countless surveys, meetings with students, and research on ideas are completed in order to make the transition plan a success.
