Seventh Grade Orientation

Seventh Grade Team - Greetings!

Dear Parents & Guardians,

On behalf of the staff at RGHS, we are happy to welcome you to the 2021-22 school year! The Seventh Grade Team would like to extend a special “welcome back” to all our Valley Grove students, and we offer a very special welcome to those of you who are new to our school district. Making the transition to seventh grade will bring about new and exciting challenges for you and your student. Seventh grade will be filled with charged moments as students work to refine existing skills and explore new concepts. The start of a new school year is such an exhilarating time to meet new people, reconnect with friends, and reflect on goals for the coming year. It is our hope to make this educational learning experience an enjoyable and inspiring one!

The staff of Rocky Grove High School is looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential. In order to be successful in school, your child needs support from both the home and school. We know a strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s education. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children‘s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities. We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she:

  • attends school daily and arrives on time, ready for the day’s learning experience.

  • completes all homework assignments given by teachers.

  • reads daily to develop a love of reading and to improve literacy skills.

  • shares school experiences with you so that you are aware of his/her school life.

  • informs you if he/she needs additional support in any area or subject.

  • knows that you expect him/her to succeed in school.

Yours In Education,

The Seventh Grade Team
