Yessi is always working hard in practice and has a true commitment to making herself more competitive in the events she runs. She has knocked over 10 seconds off of her average 800m times this season over last and just set a new PR of 2:44.43 at the Buhler Varsity Invite on April 19th.

Amarah Jordan, Jr. Throws
Amarah has been "SO CLOSE" for a a long time and is starting to truly put it together. After finally reaching the 100' mark in Manhattan on the 12th, she threw another big PR in Buhler on the 19th with a Discus throw of 104' 9" which placed her 5th in the competition.

Jerome Conner, So. Sprints
Jerome's workouts are always considered fantastic and he has started to round himself out into a competitive runner. At the Junction City JV meet on the 16th, Jerome ran a PR of 11.83 in the 100m dash and a huge PR of 23.71 in the 200m dash to take first. Great things are ahead of Jerome with the work he is putting in.

Hunter Mowery, Sr. Javelin
Hunter burst onto the javelin scene with a strong first year of track as a junior in 2023 and his biggest improvement this year has been his consistency. He has placed top 3 in every meet outside of week 1 at Newton and took 1st at Buhler on April 19th. This is being done at difficult weather meets against some of the states best Javelin throwers. A really big toss is coming!
