Team (S&D Club) Meetings
There are mandatory team meetings for students on Thursdays in room K210 from 3:45 pm to 4:30pm. There is a brief Debate Club meeting and then students are expected to practice their event pieces. If Thursdays are inconvenient, another time must be arranged with Mrs. Meyer as students must prove their readiness to compete after (or before) school practice time prior to competing in tournaments.
Signing Up For Tournaments
Step 1: Anyone who competes at tournaments needs an account at Tabroom.com: https://www.tabroom.com/user/login/new_user.mhtml. We will create Tabroom and NSDA accounts in class.
Step 2: Students MUST let Mrs. Meyer know at least 2 weeks prior to a tournament that the student wishes to compete and in what event. She will register the student in Tabroom for the tournament. Students may not register themselves in Tabroom.
Step 3: Show up to the after school meetings to prep for competition with teammates; students competing in tournaments are required to attend.
Step 4: For each competition, you will receive a permission slip for the event with instructions for tournament location, bus departures, money for lunches, and possible departure time. Remember, it we are WINNING, the LATER we will be arriving back to TCHS!
