Beginning band is structured to teach each student the fundamental music skills required to be successful on their instrument. Private lessons are strongly encouraged.
Beginning band is primarily for 6th grade students.
NO prior experience is necessary to join beginning band. We teach you how to read music and play your instrument.
Objective of Beginning Band:
Learn and demonstrate band content standards as outlined by the Texas State Board of Education
Learn and demonstrate the process of creating and improving music through concerts
Learn and demonstrate ability to read music
Learn and demonstrate ability to perform on instrument

Symphonic Band is an intermediate level class.

Preparation for high school band or Honor Band
