Skatteverket administers Sweden’s various taxes, which include value added tax (VAT), income tax, social fees, and taxes on business activity. If you have been living in Sweden for six months or more you will be obligated to file a tax return in Sweden. Tax returns are typically due by the first week of May for the previous calendar year.
