Learners’ Premier League is a fusion of 5 subjects that are evaluated over a period of 2 months for 100 marks in total. Each team comprises 11 roles as per positions required to function in a company. All teams are provided with a topic based on fresh research in the field of Nanotechnology, Electronics, Chemistry, Physics and Biotechnology, amongst others. With Team Mentors from the Sophomore year and Associate Mentors from the Junior and Senior years, all teams start from primitive research through various articles and papers. Post the research phase, prototypes are developed covering technical and business aspects to bring the product to market. This is presented in front of an esteemed panel consisting of faculty members for each subject. They analyze the overall project by evaluating the team’s efforts to bring out a new idea that can bring about a change on a global scale, keeping all the subject parameters in mind.
Keep in mind: The team is expected to divide themselves into these eleven roles, as per interest and previous experiences:
Researcher
Significance of Research
Employment Readiness
Industry and Customary Benefits
Interdisciplinary Knowledge
Product Manufacturing
Critical Thinking
Cost Management
Collaborative Workflow
Project Management
Digital Publishing
Schedule regular meetings having decided on the timings beforehand.
Talk to your mentor to give you a head start on the project and guide you through the course—they’re experienced.
Sufficient amount of time & effort should be devoted to research; learn about the domain and explore possible prototypes.
Having learned enough & decided on a route forth, start identifying potential problems to your prototype, and how you’d tackle them.
The prototype should cover structure, mechanism and innovation done by the team.
The business aspect should cover materials, their cost and industries, to provide assistance in developing the product.
Digital expansion to increase reach on the idea through various social platforms should be done with suitable templates and limited content, to make it easy for the audience to understand; marketing.
While covering all the points above, a record book that includes Attendances and Minutes of Meetings, having collaborated on contribution.
While making Progress Reports, follow the designated templates.
Once the prototype is finalized, start preparing your Evaluation Presentation.
