Project Circuitech Launched!!!
The i-MADS project, Image Processing using Math & Data Structures, is designed specifically for first-year BTech students currently studying Linear Algebra & Differential Equations and Data Structures & Algorithms. This unique initiative is guided by esteemed faculty members Dr. Ganapathirao Maradana, Dr. Sachin Pathak, Dr. Supratik Banerjee and Prof. Dheeraj Tripathi, ensuring a strong academic foundation while incorporating industry-relevant skills.
By seamlessly integrating mathematical principles with computer science concepts, i-MADS allows students to apply key topics from linear algebra and data structures in the field of image processing. The project utilizes industry-standard tool- LabelBox, giving participants hands-on exposure to real-world applications. This experience not only deepens their theoretical understanding but also prepares them for future industry challenges.
Running for 6–8 weeks, the project is mentored by second-year students who previously worked on it, providing valuable guidance. Additionally, students engage with industry professionals, gaining insights from real-world experts. This structured approach makes i-MADS an exceptional opportunity to bridge academic learning with practical applications in the tech industry.
Mr. Parijat Chatterjee
ML Engineer at Perspect AI
The CoEET Team hosted an interactive session with Mr. Parijat Chatterjee, a Machine Learning Engineer at Perspect AI, exclusively for the i-MADS mentors. Through real-world examples, students got a glimpse of how Image Processing plays a crucial role in training the ML models we use every day.
The session emphasized the importance of image pre-processing—a crucial step in ensuring accurate and meaningful data for training robust models. By bridging the gap between theory and industry application, our mentors are now better equipped to support their mentees and help them approach their projects with greater confidence and dedication.
