First-hand experiences of the struggles and milestones of growing up with ADHD.
Practical coping strategies and tools Isabelle uses today in her professional life.
A live Q&A session for parents and young people to ask questions.
Event Details:
Recommended for young people with ADHD and their parents.
Online via Zoom.
A modest fee applies to cover costs, but assisted places are available for those facing financial hardship (contact info@adhdembrace.org).
This is a wonderful opportunity to hear a story of hope and success, providing inspiration for our students navigating their own ADHD journeys.
We are pleased to share details of a specialised five-week online course starting this June, designed for parents of primary school children with ADHD who frequently exhibit aggressive, controlling, or challenging behaviour.
The course utilises Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) - a therapeutic approach led by accredited practitioner Jenny Wilkinson. The sessions focus on moving away from conflict and toward a calmer, more connected home environment.
What the course covers:
Understanding the root causes of aggressive behaviour.
Practical techniques to de-escalate difficult situations.
Strategies to repair the parent-child relationship and build a support network.
Weekly themes including "picking your battles" and increasing "parental presence."
Key Information:
Dates: Mondays, 1st June – 29th June (5 weeks).
Time: 8:00 pm – 9:30 pm via Zoom.
Cost: £40 per person for Richmond Borough residents (higher rates apply for non-residents).
As the sessions are interactive, participants are encouraged to join with their cameras on to get the most out of the group dynamic.

Dear Parent/Carer,
The government has released a new plan for children with additional needs, called Every Child Achieving and Thriving, also known as the SEND Reform White Paper. It looks at Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) support over the next ten years. It is not the law yet, but it could change the support children and families receive in the future.
We have spoken to hundreds of families since the paper was released, and we know the new plan can feel confusing or worrying. You may be wondering if this will change the help your child gets at school, what it means for their rights, or whether you need to do anything now. At Skylarks, we are reading the plan carefully. Our SEND education specialists will explain what it means in clear, simple language.
We are glad the government now accepts that the system is not working and needs big changes. We welcome the idea of inclusive schools from the start, as well as more funding for teacher training and specialists.
However, we have serious questions about how these Individual Support Plans will work in practice and whether the funding will be enough to make them a success. We are particularly concerned that these plans cannot be appealed at a Tribunal, leaving families without a vital safety net. Without addressing these practicalities, and the needs of children currently out of the school system, it is unclear if these changes will truly improve school culture.
We are running a series of information sessions to provide ongoing support, with further dates to be announced soon. The next three session can be booked below.
The government needs to hear from families before 18th May 2026. We are currently writing our own response based on what we've heard from you, but it is vital that you also share your story directly.
You can submit your views to the government here: SEND reform: putting children and young people first
You can read our full statement on the White Paper here Skylarks full Statement
If you have questions or worries, please get in touch. We are here to support you.
Best wishes,
Aaron Guiver

ADHD Embrace would like to promote our Advice Clinic for all the ADHD families in schools, either with or awaiting for a diagnosis.
Our locally funded Advice Clinics are available to residents of the London Boroughs of Richmond and Kingston at a minimal cost. These private and confidential sessions provide a supportive space to discuss any challenges related to ADHD.
