Our Year Six staff team have been telling us all week about the marvellous behaviour of the children during their school journey to Hooke Court. This makes us all so proud. It was a jampacked trip with lots of WW1 learning, bringing their classroom topic to life with drilling and marching. Although they would be the first to admit, they can only imagine the horror of life in the trenches, our Year Six historians got a feel for a soldier's life with a trip down the site's mock-up trench. Followed by a brief attempt at going 'over the top' with their fake rifles. Thank you so much to the staff team: Miss Mackenzie, Mr Munn, Mrs Hunt, Miss Cooper and our fabulous photographer Mrs Lamprell, who accompanied the children.
