KAMKWAMBA Whole class for their assembly
It was lovely to see Mrs Grosvenor and Leo back in school this week. He is now a bonny five months old and very interested in everything at St Stephen's. As you can see, he was very popular with our staff, who were all keen to have a cuddle. After his cuddles, he went along to see Mrs Bachour. Come back again soon Leo, next time we will move you up to fourth gold for your excellent behaviour.
Before embarking on writing a descriptive piece on the current text, Superkid by Claire Freedman, our Year One children have been creating their own word maps, using a sound map to help them. In this way they are assembling their own word banks before they start on their big write. Preparation is all. Before our children start a write, they always plan their work, in this way they can ensure cohesion and support their cognitive load!
