BIRTHDAY BUTTERFLIES FOR LOTTE
Thank you so much to Earhart's Lotte, who brought in her butterflies to visit. For her recent birthday she got five caterpillars which became chrysalides and turned into butterflies. Lotte was keen for her classmates to share in the metamorphosis, before setting the butterflies free. They came complete with a special carrier and instructions for care and feeding. Lotte told us they really enjoyed their orange and banana lunch.

All our reception children are currently undergoing a short baseline assessment in communication and language, literacy and mathematics with our Reception team. This statutory requirement gives us a fantastic opportunity to understand what our children know and plan appropriate lessons for next steps. Children enjoy the opportunity to work 1:1 with their teacher. We all so enjoy watching our Reception children take the first steps on their academic journey.
