Week 25 - Page Four

Focus on Year Two's Ruby class this week, who delighted a rapt audience with their assembly. Parents, carers and siblings listened as the knowledgible scholars showed off their Great Fire of London learning. A poetry recitation completed a delighteful performance. Well done Ruby! Also pictured are their fabulous 1666 houses, made for homework and so detailed they would be very much at home in a museum cabinet. Oh, and to complete the round up, you'll find the young bakers at their prep tablets where they made bread rolls from scratch. We thought they kneaded to know what it felt like to work in a bakery, as the fire started its smoky progress in Thomas Farriner's bakehouse in Pudding Lane. All things firey continue in literacy, where they are writing their own diaries about the event, from the perspective of the local cats.
