A trip into town to walk the halls of the historic Natural History Museum in South Kensington is always a treat. The main purpose of the excursion for Attenborough class was to take part in a Lego workshop, but a slight detour to look at the dinosaurs and view just some of the site's amazing insect and butterfly collection was a must (check out our page one story for more on Attenborough and their 'Butterfly Watch').
Then it was on to the Lego Workshop, which gave our children the opportunity to come up with solutions for a sustainability challenge, based on a real life problem. Then it was straight down to Lego modelling and getting their vehicles to operate. Take a look at the results.
After closely examing the markings on the coats of various animals, our children in Year One, Two and Three Art Club had a go at making their own.
