Kingston Council is working together with local organisations and residents to write a new all age Autism and ADHD strategy. A strategy is a document that shows what we want to do and how we are going to do it. We want to find out what is important to Autistic people and/ or people who have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Step by Step is a social provision based at Kingsnympton supporting young people experiencing emotionally related school avoidance (ERSA). It is a nurturing programme focused on relationship building, social interaction and small step exposure to a new setting.
The aim is to support pupils to reintegrate into an education setting and thrive.
The programme will raise self-esteem, aspirations, confidence and motivation to help children and young people to re-engage with education and gradually improve and sustain their attendance.
All staff have specialist expertise and training working with pupils with a wide range of SEN. Pupils will also be able to access non-clinical mental health support during these sessions.
Parents and carers have the option to drop their child off and return to collect or to stay and network with other parents (in another room).
Sessions are at Kingsnympton Youth Centre, Kingsnympton Park, Kingston KT2 7RW
This provision is free for pupils attending Richmond Secondary Schools. Pupils must be known to AfC Inclusion Services as part of the graduated approach.
