I have had a fantastic two years at St Stephen's and have been so lucky to have worked with an amazing group of staff and children. Relocating to a different part of London sadly means I will be continuing my career elsewhere, but I will look back with fondness on my time here. I will be sure to keep in touch to find out how everyone is getting on.
I have loved my time at St Stephen's with its super staff, fantastic children and friendly, supportive parents.
It is truly a great place to be, and I know that the children here get the best possible all round education.
Being involved in the choir has been a huge pleasure, and I will not forget our rendition of Mr Blue Sky at the Rose Theatre any time soon! I have loved my time as art co-ordinator, working closely with our wonderful art teacher, Ruth Garner. We have loved expanding our curriculum to include some new artists for our children. This will be s special memory for me.
I have many wonderful memories of St Stephen's from the joyful nativity plays to the exuberance of the legendary ‘Bounceathons’!
But my best memories are quite simply the wonderful, caring and compassionate children we have in this school. They really do ‘build each other up in love and learning’ and in the process uplift all of us too! They are the heart of what is a very special community.
I have loved working with my wonderful Year Two classes over the last two years. They have truly brought joy to my heart and a smile to my face every day from the moment I walk into the classroom. It goes without saying that I shall certainly miss each and every one of them and indeed the whole of our school community!
I first joined the St Stephen's community 10 years ago when my older daughter started in Reception. Five years later I joined as a teacher and have worked across the school in different roles in Reception and KS1. I even had a go at being in the office when they were short staffed! Although, I am not sure how helpful I was!! For the last few years I have job shared with Nicola Collins and the rest of the excellent Year Two team. I have loved it and had lots of fun. I will miss them and the children very much.
Alongside working at St Stephen's, I have been running my nutrition business and from September I will be doing this fulltime and focusing on Food clubs, community workshops and Food Education in general. In fact, I am not really leaving as I will be here in September running clubs.
St Stephen's is a very special place, filled with brilliant people and I have been very lucky to have had lots of fun here, from being involved in FOSS, class repping, supporting at sporting events, wellbeing week with Margot the dog, food tech, working with lots of different staff and parents and, of course, our amazing children who are the best. Thank you all very much, I feel very lucky and I am truly, truly grateful.
