We live by the motto 'Sport for All.' As our Year Six children end their time with us, we are delighted that each and every one of them has represented the school at a sporting fixture. These wonderful basketball players recently had fun at a fixture against St James's
See Henry's report below. Scroll down for a full round up on the National Dodgeball Championships - we only went and got into the final. Hurrah!
The squad:Thomas, Henry, Sam, Sami, Phillip, Kirill, Ela, Zoe, Beau, Niall, Arlo, Yucheng , Tamia, Bartu and Jasper
We arrived at St James's School for our anticipated basketball fixture. The first game was about to start and the first three stepped up to the court, hoping for a win. We got off to a rocky start, though we came back after Sam hit a three-pointer buzzer shot for a draw.
Then, it was straight on to the next match where we scored in the opening minute for an early lead against the St James's B team. They managed to equalize but we scored to regain the lead. We ended up winning 16-10. We won match three and were happy with our results over the tournament. One child said: "This was a great experience for me, especially because I have not represented the school before."

It was the Dodgeball Nationals in Nottingham and our squad of Year Five and Six children were ready to play. In our first match we had Thomas, Seb, Raffy, Sybil, Isla H and Oliver. Unfortunately, we lost our first game, with Seb getting many people out but he was the last player standing and sadly got hit. We went on to win one game and lose the other two matches.
In our second to last game Thomas got two catches and an out to win the game with just him and Seb.Overall, it was a great experience for everybody. In the start of the group stage we realised some of us hadn't played dodgeball for quite a while, still we went on to win the group. This goes to show that you can do anything that you set your mind to.
The people who took part were Isla Year 5, Isla Year 6, Thomas Year 6, Seb Year 5, Olli Year 5, Alex Year 5, Sybil Year 6, Mila Year 6, Raffy Year 5, Eli Year 5.
