The Flying Seagull Project is a charity all about spreading happiness, play and joy to children going through some of life’s toughest challenges. In the UK and around the world, the Seagulls team of entertainers, clowns, play specialists, musicians and artists travel to refugee camps, hospitals, orphanages and deprived areas so that children who are going through hardship still get a chance to play and enjoy moments of childhood.
Since 2008 they have brought over 400,000 smiles to children across 24 countries and they are still working tirelessly to make sure children get to feel valued, special and have fun. These things are all really important for their wellbeing, development and happiness.
At the moment, the Seagulls are delivering projects in Turkey, with children still displaced following the earthquakes last year; in refugee camps in Jordan and Bulgaria, in Poland with orphaned children from Ukraine and with children seeking refuge in the UK. They are currently fundraising for a brand new project- the Seagull Sensory Circus- an exciting touring show and van filled with sensory equipment tailored to children with a range of physical and mental disabilities all over the world so that they can enjoy the magic of the circus too!
We are super excited that The Flying Seagulls will be joining us for a fun filled fun and circus day on June 7th more- with more information to follow!
