It is always a delight to walk along the corridors on World Book Day and be greeted by penguins, pirates and a suffragette or two. Just some of the hundreds of costumes on display at this year's event. Here is but a glimpse of the wonderful outfits donned by our children and staff. Thank you so much to all our children, parents and carers who put so much effort into making this such a glorious day to celebrate all things bookish.

We heard that Year Three have been working on some amazing art, so we checked in with Miss Downes for a full report. "In Year Three, we are exploring ancient art. We have looked at the symbolism and different materials people used to create visual images. Interestingly, in the Magura Cave in Bulgaria they drew with bat poo. However, we opted for charcoal, ochre and twigs instead," said Miss Downes.
