Preschool
In March the Pre-school have been very busy learning about dinosaurs and Spring as our topics. We have been exploring and collecting different flowers and leaves that have been budding as the weather has become warmer. The children have painted with the flowers and have been developing their awareness of their senses.
When we were focusing on dinosaurs we had lots of conversations related to size and skeletons with the children really enjoying small world play, dinosaur digs and moving (stomping) like dinosaurs too.
We have had several events this month with Pancake Day, World Book Day and Mother’s Day all of which the children celebrated within the pre-school.
Nursery
Stay & Play - we invited our families to join us for our Mother's Day stay and play. We were able to show them all of the amazing things we have been learning this term.
Reception
Now that the weather has been getting nice we have been able to spend more time outside exploring tactile activities especially sand and water. The children have been enjoying a range of junk modelling activities and construction tasks; we made a run for Arby our class hamster. Our maths topic has been focused around repeating patterns building from two colours to three colours and moving onto sorting via colours and numbers.
