Sacrament of Reconciliation - First Confession 

Year 3 had learnt about the Sacrament of Reconciliation, it was their first time doing this.  They know it is about asking God for forgiveness, acknowledging that they have done something wrong, and they showed that they were sorry. They were all ready and confident to do this. They all had to write on a piece of card the Act of contrition and what they have sinned for.

Charcoal Workshop

The children had learnt how to shade and tone using charcoal, they all were engaged and had so much fun. They were using the charcoal to create shadows and blending the charcoal on their paper using their hands. 

Shadow Puppet Show 

The children have been studying light sources and reflectors, as well as transparent, translucent and opaque materials. Using this knowledge, they selected suitable materials to design and stage a show they believed the nursery children would enjoy.

Visit to France 

On Friday 7th June, Year 4 traveled to France for their first residential trip. The children visited their pen pals, practiced their French at a market and played on the beach. A great time was had by all. 

Art Work Home Projects 

In our Art lessons we have been learning about secondary and complementary colours. We have created our own colour wheel and we enjoyed our homework project linked to nature!
