Year 1
Making boats
As we learnt more about materials in our science unit, we made boats that had to float.
We used our understanding of materials and worked in teams to create a boat. We put our boats to the test. They all floated and we were very pleased.
Old toys
Following our visit to the V&A toy museum, we discovered toys that we had not seen or never had the opportunity to experience.
As part of our history unit, we had an afternoon of playing.
We used yo-yo’s as we had not experienced this type of toy often.
We explored arts and crafts as types of toys as we made paper airplanes to play with and tested our origami skills to make paper boats.
Year 2
In Religion, we learnt about forgiveness and reconciliation. We made forgiveness cards to someone we wanted to say sorry to. Just like Jesus teaches us.
In DT we made sandwiches. We first did our design process and decorated our sandwich boxes and added all the right information on it. Then we made our sandwiches which were delicious.
We had a fantastic time at the Shakespeare workshop. We acted out the story of the Tempest so we understand the story for our English lessons.
We enjoyed TTRockstars Day. We did lots of maths activities such as a tuck shop for the week where we saved money to buy treats. We also had a times table battle. We also got to rock out on the playground. We felt like Rockstars.
