I can make up new words to songs that I know.I CAN RESPOND I can move to a steady beat. I can move to music that moves in 2s and 3s. I can understand icons/pictures that show melody and rhythm. I can show how music moves up, down, and stays the same using my body. I can tell the difference between sounds and silences in music. I can recognize the beginning and end of a song. I can move to loud/soft, slow/fast, high/low, and smooth/jerky music. I can tell when a song is happy or sad. I can tell when a song is a prayer song.I CAN PERFORM I can play a steady beat on an instrument. I can yell, talk, whisper, and sing. I can sing songs that have verses and refrains. I can sing call and response songs. I can sing songs that are fast/slow. I can sing loudly/softly. I can echo melody and rhythm patterns. I can act out the meaning of a song. I can play classroom instruments with respect. I can sing prayer responses. I can use respectful behavior when I perform.
