National FFA Finalists

National FFA Finalists are students who place among the Top 10 individuals or Top 10 teams in the Nation in the Nursery/Landscape or Floriculture Career Development Events. To reach this level, teams must first win at the Massachusetts FFA State Convention in the spring, earning the opportunity to represent the Commonwealth at the FFA National Convention in Indianapolis, IN in the fall. Only one team per state may advance in each event. At the national level, students compete against the best teams and individuals from across the country. National finalists demonstrate elite technical skills, teamwork, and professionalism aligned with real-world horticulture and landscape industry standards.

When qualified, South Shore Tech’s FFA Nursery/Landscape team competes against 42+ other states and 170+ top students, while the FFA Floriculture team competes against 48+ other states and 190+ top students nationwide.
