Math- Chapter 3: Subtraction
*fact families, finding missing addends using subtraction, subtract to compare, problem solving using more than 1 step
*Students will have a Check Your Progress on Tuesday.
*We will continue our Timed Math Fact drill on Wednesday.
Fundations- Unit 6: Suffix -s
*This unit focuses on how to add the suffix -s to the end of base words. Students will learn the two sounds of this suffix (-s sound and -z sound), how to mark words with a suffix, and how the suffix changes the word (makes a noun plural, makes a verb fit better into the sentence). Please see the "Fundations" page for new information and this unit's trick words.
ELA- Unit 3 Week 1: The Ant and the Grasshopper and Week 2: The Clever Monkey
*weekly sight words, vocabulary words, features of a fable (problem, resolution, moral) and a folktale (tricky characters, moral, known by many people), past tense verbs, writing a letter to Santa
Religion- Chapters 8 and 9 Review
*We will be reviewing for our test on Friday, as well as learning about Advent.
