ISSUE III

Welcome to Issue III! Carrying forward our last theme on the Covid-19 pandemic, with this issue we wanted to capture a more intangible idea - Resilience. While we're still living in an almost apocalyptic, pandemic-stricken world, most major sports leagues have resumed, adapting to the circumstances with whatever they have. Whether it's the NBA or F1 or IPL, every league has demonstrated resilience to the challenges presented by the pandemic. With this issue, we also wanted to delve deeper into what resilience means in sports - what have been the most pressing issues in sports, and how have we as a collective reacted to them? Sport is ridden with controversy about equality, activism, equity, representation, but it is also what unites us. It brings us together, whether to voice out these challenges, demonstrate our loyalty in trying times, inspires us to lead, or even just sit down and watch a game. That is exactly what we wanted to encapsulate with this issue - striving when the odds are stacked up against us amidst a global pandemic; yet, surviving and pulling through.
